Meeting Maia – City of Sport is an outdoor athletics event, part of the World Athletics Continental Tour – Bronze and the FPA circuit. It brings together national and international athletes in a competitive environment that reflects Maia’s investment in sport. More than a competition, it is a celebration of athletics. Organised by Maia Atlético Clube, with the support of Maia City Council and the Porto Athletics Association, the event reinforces Maia’s role as a benchmark for sport in Portugal.

The Meeting is open to federated, national, and international athletes with a valid licence who meet the technical criteria defined by the organisation.

Pre-registrations must be made via the official competition website https://meetingmaiacidadedodesporto.pt/, from 1 June until 30 June 2026, by 23:00.

Please note that the acceptance of your pre-registration does not guarantee entry.

The event distributes a total prize fund of €30,400, with awards for performance, records, and categories.

Yes, the event is free for the general public and will feature spectator areas, side activities, and food trucks. Meeting Maia also promotes sport in the city, maintaining a strong connection to the local community.
